The Scott Carter, Hearts On Fire Scholarship Award was established in honor of Scott Carter, and in recognition of his commitment and passion to reach youth for Christ, on the 25th Anniversary of the Conference on November 18, 2011.
The expenses involved with college can be very demanding for you and your parents. This is a one-time award of $1000.00. If you have attended Hearts On Fire a minimum of two years, are a senior in high school and plan to attend a Christian College, or are currently enrolled in a Christian College, you are eligible to apply.
The deadline for all applicants will be July 1, 2014. The Scholarship Award will be sent to the Christian College of your choice during the 2014 fall semester. Recognition of the award will be presented to the recipient at the 2014 Hearts On Fire Conference in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
During the past eleven years Hearts On Fire has made Gatlinburg its home. Attendance has grown from 3888 to over 9660 people. In 2010 we made the decision to divide the conference into two separate sessions to accommodate more people. In 2013 you maxed out one of those sessions. Last year 425 churches from 12 different states attended Hearts On Fire. We are blessed and honored that you were part of that number.
With growth comes change. We are very grateful to the Gatlinburg Convention Center for hosting us so many years. We love East Tennessee and we know you do as well. It is for that reason that Hearts On Fire 2014 will be relocated to the beautiful new LeConte Center at Pigeon Forge.
We are very excited about this move and we know you will be also. By moving this will enable us to have more room and the potential to see the conference grow to over 20,000. The LeConte Center opened in October 2013. It is located on the new Riverwalk and is surrounded by hotels, restaurants and attractions. The LeConte Center offers free parking for cars and buses with tram service to the door. We invite you to visit the LeConte Center website, LeConteCenter.com, as well as MyPigeonForge.com for more information. Hearts On Fire has a link on our lodging page that takes you directly to the hotel listings where you can make your reservations online. You can begin making your reservations now!
We will still have two sessions, Alpha & Omega, for you to choose the schedule that best fits your needs. Currently we are in the planning stages for the conference but wanted to make sure you knew it would be in Pigeon Forge on November 21 & 22, 2014.
We are very excited about the changes and we know you will be as well. Please keep Hearts On Fire in your prayers, and as always, if you have any questions feel free to contact us.
We love having Hearts On Fire in Charleston, SC! 2014 was the second year of the conference and once again we were blessed. Decisions were made, lives were changed. I have had messages, since the conference, telling me decisions are still being made to follow Christ.
Many of you had the opportunity that most who attend Hearts On Fire have never had. You got to hear Scott Carter, founder of Hearts On Fire, bring the message. You also got to hear David Nasser, a great friend of ours speak. Lives were forever changed from the messages that these men brought from God.
Music was phenomenal this year with Zac Bennett and the Lift Live leading worship and concerts by Sanctus Real and The Rhett Walker Band. From Friday through Saturday the music was some of the best we have ever had at Hearts On Fire.
For those of you who have not attended the conference in Charleston you are missing a wonderful, weekend of worship. This has started off as a small conference with face-to-face time with speakers and musicians. Don’t miss the early years of Hearts On Fire Charleston, SC. One day it will be as large as the conference has grown in Tennessee, and we will look back and remember these very early years.
Thank you for all those who helped to make HOF Charleston a wonderful conference. Be watching the website for information about HOF Charleston 2015.
