With musicians such as this and amazing speakers, Ed Newton and Dave Edwards you won’t want to miss this year’s conference on October 26 & 27 at the Welk Resort Theater.
This is so exciting!
for KING & COUNTRY- Born in Sydney, Australia and relocating with their family to Nashville, TN, brothers, Joel and Luke remember music being a constant presence in their life. Growing up in a large family of seven kids, they began their creative experimentation early on, soaking up life experiences that would influence their musical future. Their new release “Crave” is getting rave reviews as the best debut project in years and is poised to be a top album of 2012. The music of Joel and Luke is said to be unrivaled by any other collaborative group to date. As Luke says “We want to deliver a message that is about believing in something much bigger than oneself. The title track of this album has a line in the chorus that very plainly says, ‘hope is what we crave.’ You can confidently go through the ups and downs in your life because you know that life isn’t about what you do but rather the hope and salvation of Christ.” You won’t want to miss hearing for King & Country at Hearts On Fire Branson 2012.
Dara Maclean – Few artists combine musical depth and the uplifting realities of a life in Christ as well as Dara Maclean. Hers is a joyful mix of pop idioms and eternal truths, danceable beats and the good news. “I love making music you can move and groove to,” she says, “but at the same time, as Christian artists we have a responsibility to speak the truth of the finished work of Christ in love.”
Dara grew up outside of Fort Worth, Texas in a family that encouraged her love for music and for the Lord from her earliest days. Her single “Suitcases” was written from a comment her dad made during a service where she was ministering with her family. He said, “You can’t run when you’re holding suitcases.” Dara says, “she will never forget the message, and this song is her encouragement to us all to let go of the baggage of the past.”
Dara has honed a sound that captures the joy and exuberance of being swept up in God’s love. You won’t want to miss hearing the music of this gifted singer and songwriter at Hearts On Fire Branson.
Jason Castro – “I have a simple goal,” says Jason Castro, “and that is to create songs that grab you by the soul and make you feel! Songs that inspire! Songs that give joy! Songs that make you dream!”
With his rich tenor voice and distinctive charisma, Jason Castro won over millions of viewers as a contestant on the 2008 season of American Idol. He was the third runner-up and although he may not have won the competition he certainly earned himself a devoted fan base eager to hear him perform. Jason says, “I really think music is an extension of one’s self. One can’t go without the other, so my personality and character are a huge part of the music and that’s what people have told me they love about it – just the realness and that they can feel my heart and the emotion in the songs when I perform them.”
Hearts On Fire is very honored to have Jason Castro join us at the 2012 conference in Branson, Missouri.
