Branson Concerts 2012!

I am happy to say that I can now announce the full Concert tour for Hearts On Fire Branson.  for KING & COUNTRY, Dara Maclean and Jason Castro will be our special guests at this years conference.  With musicians such as this and amazing speakers, Ed Newton and Dave Edwards you won’t want to miss this year’s conference on October 26 & 27 at the Welk Resort Theater.

This is so exciting!

for KING & COUNTRY- Born in Sydney, Australia and relocating with their family to Nashville, TN, brothers, Joel and Luke remember music being a constant presence in their life.  Growing up in a large family of seven kids, they began their creative experimentation early on, soaking up life experiences that would influence their musical future.  Their new release “Crave” is getting rave reviews as the best debut project in years and is poised to be a top album of 2012.  The music of Joel and Luke is said to be unrivaled by any other collaborative group to date.   As Luke says “We want to deliver a message that is about believing in something much bigger than oneself.  The title track of this album has a line in the chorus that very plainly says, ‘hope is what we crave.’ You can confidently go through the ups and downs in your life because you know that life isn’t about what you do but rather the hope and salvation of Christ.”   You won’t want to miss hearing for King & Country at Hearts On Fire Branson 2012.

Dara Maclean – Few artists combine musical depth and the uplifting realities of a life in Christ as well as Dara Maclean.  Hers is a joyful mix of pop idioms and eternal truths, danceable beats and the good news. “I love making music you can move and groove to,” she says, “but at the same time, as Christian artists we have a responsibility to speak the truth of the finished work of Christ in love.”

Dara grew up outside of Fort Worth, Texas in a family that encouraged her love for music and for the Lord from her earliest days.  Her single “Suitcases” was written from a comment her dad made during a service where she was ministering with her family.  He said, “You can’t run when you’re holding suitcases.”  Dara says, “she will never forget the message, and this song is her encouragement to us all to let go of the baggage of the past.”

Dara has honed a sound that captures the joy and exuberance of being swept up in God’s love.  You won’t want to miss hearing the music of this gifted singer and songwriter at Hearts On Fire Branson.

Jason Castro – “I have a simple goal,” says Jason Castro, “and that is to create songs that grab you by the soul and make you feel!  Songs that inspire! Songs that give joy!  Songs that make you dream!”

With his rich tenor voice and distinctive charisma, Jason Castro won over millions of viewers as a contestant on the 2008 season of American Idol.  He was the third runner-up and although he may not have won the competition he certainly earned himself a devoted fan base eager to hear him perform.  Jason says, “I really think music is an extension of one’s self.  One can’t go without the other, so my personality and character are a huge part of the music and that’s what people have told me they love about it – just the realness and that they can feel my heart and the emotion in the songs when I perform them.”

Hearts On Fire is very honored to have Jason Castro join us at the 2012 conference in Branson, Missouri.

The Scott Carter Scholarship Award

Last year marked the 25th Anniversary of the Hearts On Fire Youth Conference.  As a tribute to Scott Carter who founded Hearts On Fire, the Scott Carter Scholarship Award was established.  Many people begin things but they get tired, life’s circumstances get in the way, they just decide it’s too much work, or they just want to move on to something else, but through 25 years Scott has never once said I don’t want to do this anymore.  God knew when he placed the idea in his heart and mind that he would be the servant who would follow His plan for their life.  Hearts on Fire is a huge part of Scott’s life and his desire to see the lives of youth changed for Christ will never change.  We want to see that dream continue and as a way of doing that a one-time award of $1000.00 will be awarded each year to a recipient chosen by Scott Carter based on the criteria submitted.

The information will be on our website soon but for those of you who want the details now I am including the information and application in this blog.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

HEARTS ON FIRE Branson &Gatlinburg 2012!

Great news, the new Hearts On Fire Website 2012 is now live! I know many of you have been waiting to see who was coming to both the Branson and Gatlinburg Conference this year and I am so excited that the news is now out. Waiting to reveal the speakers and concerts has been very difficult.  Please visit the website www.heartsonfireministries.org.

We are looking forward to the second Branson conference with much anticipation.  If you attended last year please help us spread the word about Branson 2012.

Our speakers for this year are both amazing.  This will be the first time that Ed Newton has been available to speak at Hearts On Fire.  Ed was the voice in the silence as the only child of two deaf parents.  Through major hardships he was radically saved in high school.  Ed is uniquely gifted and his communication style can be summarized as “passion with content”.  He will inspire you to be passionate, dedicated followers of Christ.

We have had the privilege of having Dave Edwards as our speaker at Hearts On Fire many times.  He is a gifted communicator who travels the country speaking to students from his heart about issues relevant to this generation.  His mission is to reintroduce the truth of God’s Word by meeting people where they are in life and bringing them one step closer to knowing and becoming like Jesus Christ.

The concert this year in Branson will be the music of, “for KING & COUNTRY” .  Their new release “Crave” is getting rave reviews as the best debut project in years and is poised to be a top album of 2012.  The music of Joel and Luke is said to be unrivaled by any other collaborative group to date.  We are very excited to have them join us as well as their complete fall tour.   Keep an eye on our website to see who will be joining them on tour.

Leading our worship will be Roger Williams & the AMUQ.  If you attended last year you will be happy to have them joining us once again.  They travel the country encouraging young people in the name of Jesus Christ.  They just had their first Top 20 song in December.  They will definitely bring you to your feet in worship!

3D is a dance and drama ministry that is unique from anything you may have ever seen.  For those of you who attended last year you will know what I mean. Blending different elements from jazz, hip-hop, ballet, sign language and drama, their mission is to bring both Christians and non-Christians into a face to face encounter with Jesus Christ.

As for the Gatlinburg Conference I can hardly wait to tell you that our speakers for this year will be Clayton King & Derwin Gray.  Those of you who have attended Hearts On Fire for many years will know that we very seldom repeat speakers two years in a row, but this year is one of those exceptions.  Clayton King is a pastor, evangelist, missionary, and author.  Clayton began preaching in 1988 at the age of 14 when he sensed his call from the Lord to be an Evangelist.    As founder and president of Crossroads Worldwide, he has spoken to millions of people in 23-plus countries and 45 states.  Clayton has helped organize missions to such places as Haiti, the Himalayas, and India.  He is currently the Campus Pastor at Liberty University.  Clayton spends much of his time on the road preaching the Gospel at churches, university campuses, and at various events.

Derwin Gray will be our speaker on Friday night, November 2.  Derwin has never spoken at Hearts On Fire and we are very happy to welcome him to HOF 2012.  Derwin Gray is the Founding and Lead Pastor of Transformation Church in Indian Land, South Carolina.  Transformation Church was recognized as the 2nd fastest growing church by percentage in America for 2010 by Outreach Magazine.  After graduating from Brigham Young University, he played professional football in the NFL for five years with the Indianapolis Colts (1993-1997) and one year with the Carolina Panthers (1998).  Gray is the author of Hero:  Unleashing God’s Power in a Man’s Heart and is a highly sought-after communicator.  He’s also recognized by many as the Evangelism Linebacker.

Our concert for Gatlinburg 2012 will be Casting Crowns!  Hearts On Fire is so honored to have them joining us once again.  They are the recipients of numerous Dove Awards and Grammy Awards as well as receiving the 2011 Favorite Contemporary Inspirational Artist of the year by the American Music Awards.  Casting Crowns been the most played artist on all Christian radio formats combined.  Their music includes such songs as “Until the Whole World Hears”, “To Know You”, “Who Am I’, “Praise You In This Storm”, “East to West”, “If We Are the Body”.  After all the awards and time on the road, why does Casting Crowns continue to do what they do?  God’s calling on their lives!  They are committed and talented musicians who know God has placed them together to challenge and strengthen the body of Christ.

Our very own Hearts On Fire Band will be leading each service in worship and Roger Williams & the AMUQ and 3D will once again be our guests.

Don’t miss Hearts On Fire 2012!  We’ve been blessed to see literally thousands saved through the years.  Last year over 923 life and eternity-changing decisions were made at a Hearts On Fire Conference. Begin now to pray for both of these weekends of ministry.

As always feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. I can’t wait to see you there!
